GINGER-CITRONELLA LEMONADE

DIFFICULTY: EASY

INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PEOPLE

  • 3 limes 
  • 13% oz (50 g) fresh ginger
  • 3 fresh citronella stems
  • 1½ cup (130 g) light brown sugar
  • 1½ bunch peppermint
  • 3 cups (750 ml) sparkling water
  • Lime and ginger slices, to serve

PREPARATION

Wash, zest, and juice the limes. Peel and finely grate the ginger. Cut the citronella into lengths of around 2 inches (5 cm).

Bring 1 cup (250 ml) of water to a boil in a pot. Add the lime zest, lime juice, citronella pieces, grated ginger, and brown sugar and mix well. When the sugar has completely dissolved, remove from the heat, add the peppermint, and leave to infuse for 4 minutes.


Strain the ginger mixture and dilute it with the sparkling water. Serve chilled, with lime and ginger slices.
